Salvadorans celebrate the day of the Holy Cross

As part of a ceremony in honor of the day of the Holy Cross, residents of Santiago Nonualco offer fruit to the Holy Cross to express their gratitude for the year's harvest and the beginning of the rainy season. The natives hang fruit on bamboo sticks, a tradition known as the walk of the palancas.
