The Pratyusha Banerjee case took a new twist when Justice Mridula Bhatkar, heard a three-and-a-half minutes audio clip of the last telephonic conversation between the actress and her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, while hearing the latter’s anticipatory bail plea.
Their last conversation took place an hour before Banerjee allegedly committed suicide at her Mumbai residence, on April 1, this year.

Pratyusha: You cheater, tumne mujhe cheat kiya hai, mujhe mere maa baap se alag kar diya, ab dekho main kya karne ja rahi hoon (You cheat, you cheated on me, you separated me from my parents, now see what I do)
Rahul: What happened? I will talk to you once I reach home, I am on the way; till I reach, don't do anything.
Thereafter, the HC granted Rahul anticipatory bail observing that there was no prima facie evidence to show that Rahul, who is accused of abetting her suicide, ‘instigated or intended’ the suicide.
