GUAZHOU, CHINA — Unexpected dust devil, measuring up to 40 meters high, swept through a sports event in Guazhou, Gansu province in China on Wednesday.

The wind lifted a grade three student in primary school into the air. The student suffered minor injuries to the back of the head and was taken to a hospital.

Teachers and other students, who watched the incident, were horrified. All the short and thin school children were grouped together to lay on the ground to avoid being sent up in the air.

Meanwhile, the incident has gone viral on Chinese social media, with many Weibo users making fun of it. For example, some said the student was chosen by the force above and others said there's a good side to being fat.
