Widowed Marine Wife Builds Business To Benefit Veterans

Brittney's loss of her marine husband inspired her to build a business to benefit veterans! At age 20, Brittney met, fell in love with and married Hunter Hogan, a young United States Marine. They moved from San Diego to North Carolina where Hunter was stationed. Five months later Lance Cpl. Hunter Hogan was killed in action in the Helmand Provence of Afghanistan.

Brittney was left a widow at age 22 and spent a year on a path of self-destruction. One day she stopped, moved herself back to San Diego and began running to release her anger.
The more she ran, the healthier she wanted to become. Using fitness as a coping mechanism, she decided she wanted her clothing to be a tool for that journey. And that journey lead her to create Virago Fitness, affordable and classy fitness apparel which will benefit veterans! Virago now gives portions of their proceeds to the HD Hogan Memorial Rodeo Scholarship Fund and the USO. She has come so far already but her ultimate goal is to create jobs for Veterans and continue a positive cycle of support.
