Honduras: Government Gives Step Back in Purging Police Officials

Last week the Honduran National Congress approved 2.5 million dollars to pay for the labor rights of 36 high police officials involved in criminal activities, who were being dismissed with honors. According to President Hernandez, these officials would have trials but once out of the force. International pressure has forced the government to change its decision because it seemed as if the accused were being rewarded. Gerardo Torres from Tegucigalpa with the story.
