Named Sea Hunter, it's is part of the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Continuous Trail Unmanned Vessel (ACTUV) research program.
According to DARPA, the Sea Hunter is part of a new class "...intended to traverse thousands of kilometers over the open seas for months at a time, all without a single crew member aboard."
