Houston Resident Opts for Kayak After Major Storms

Heavy overnight rains – more than a foot in some areas – forced officials to shut down rail and bus service in Houston and warn residents to stay home as significant parts of the city were flooded on Monday, April 18. Many businesses were closed as well, giving this resident a chance to try out his kayaking skills on the street where he lives.The National Weather Service has a flash flood warning in place for the area until early Monday afternoon as storms continue.
