Mysterious Stone Sphere May Hold Proof of Ancient European Civilization

A huge stone sphere discovered in a forest near the town of Zavidovici, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, led Bosnian archaeologists to speculate that it may be the largest and oldest sphere of its kind in Europe. The stone sphere is around 10 feet diameter, and has an estimated weight of 35 tons, which is about 70,000 pounds. The origin of the sphere is still unknown, but researchers believe that it could point the way to a vanished European civilization that existed at least 1,500 years ago.
