It's now officially legal for unwed couples to cohabitate in Florida

Unmarried couples living together in Florida - rejoice!
Governor Rick Scott signed a bill repealing a law that made it a second-degree misdemeanor for an unmarried man and woman to “lewdly and lasciviously associate and cohabit together.”
Because of its wording, the law never applied to same-sex couples.
The offense could be punished by up to 60 days in jail or a $500 fine, but it was reported police rarely, if ever, enforced the statute.
However, the bill’s co-sponsor, state Representative Rick Stark said in 2015 that the law still had negative effects on people’s lives.
