Just days after the chaotic fracas at Shani Shingnapur temple as women's activists tried to enter the shrine in the aftermath of a Bombay High Court (HC) diktat in their favour, Bhumata Brigade president Trupti Desai was hospitalised. The fiery women's rights activist, who is leading the campaign against gender discrimination at the Ahmednagar shrine, amongst others, was taken to hospital following complaints of chest and stomach pain.
