Researchers have discovered one more reason to love the star TW Hydrae – it appears to be giving birth to new planets.

Many astronomers have a fondness for the roughly 10-million-year-old star TW Hydrae due to its youth, relative proximity, and observation-friendly orientation.
Now, researchers have discovered one more reason to love the brilliant orb – it appears to be giving birth to new planets.
Based on the current positioning of a gap in the protoplanetary disc, scientists believe one of the future celestial bodies could have an orbit distance similar to Earth’s.
The appearances of other dark areas align with where Uranus and Pluto are in our own planetary line-up.
