Google Maps Blamed After Wrong House Is Demolished

WFAA is reporting that Billy L. Nabors Demolition in Texas tore down a wrong house, and employees later pointed the blame at Google Maps.

Google Maps may occasionally point people in the wrong direction, but the service is being blamed for one company’s fairly big mistake.

WFAA is reporting that Billy L. Nabors Demolition in Texas tore down the wrong house, and employees later pointed the blame at Google Maps. 

According to Mashable, both addresses--the building that was supposed to be razed at 7601 Cousteau Drive and the duplex that was ultimately taken down at 7601 Calypso Drive, point to the latter location.

The owners of the duplex have since expressed shock about the removal of their homes, particularly since they were preparing to repair damage from a December tornado.
