The Denver metro area started digging out from a blizzard on Thursday, March 24, though some problems lingered. Wednesday’s storm caused roads, including a portion of I-70 east of Denver, to close. Abandoned vehicles littered the roads, according to local reports. Denver International Airport also shut down during the storm.Denver itself received 19 inches of snow, according to reports, and Aurora and Boulder had at least 25 inches of snow from the blizzard.
At the storm’s peak, more than 300,000 customers were without power. But, by Thursday at noon, only about 20,000 remained.
