Mong Masoor ki Khichri

rice 1 cup
mong daal 1/2 cup
masoor daal 1/2 cup
onion 1 med sliced
ginger paste 1 tsp full
garlic paste 1 tbsp full
salt 1.1/2 tsp
cloves 5
B.cardamom 1
cinnamon stick 1 inch
bay leaves 2
B.pepper corn 1/2 tsp
oil 1/4 cup or ghee 4 tbsp
first soak rice and daal in a bowl for 30 mins.
then fry onions till light brown.
when edges change its color add garam masala and stir
add salt and soaked rice nd daal in it,mix
now add 2.5 cups ( same )cups of water in it.
give it a boil and keep it cooking till all water gets dry.
put it on dum (simmer )
for 15 minutes,5 mins on med high flame then med low flame.
serve with lal chatni,kachomar salad and achaar.
