Wombat Joey Rescued From Mother's Pouch
Meet Tora, a “pinkie” wombat joey who was rescued from her dead mother’s pouch. She was named after the Indigenous Australian term for “land near creek” and is now being nurtured at the Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary in New South Wales. This cute video shows Tora being caressed while curled up in a blanket at the sanctuary. Credit: YouTube/Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary
