Police Officers Save 19-Month-Old Girl's Life By Performing Roadside CPR

Two police officers in Schaumburg, Illinois recently saved a girl from respiratory distress by administering CPR and the Heimlich maneuver on the side of a road.

Two officers in Schaumburg, Illinois recently proved they’ve got what it takes to turn around tense and potentially dire situations. 

On March 10, Officers Bryan Poradzisz and Kevin O'Connor pulled over to the side of a road to find a woman screaming and a 19-month-old girl lying on the ground. 

The child was in respiratory distress, and the two officers wasted no time in administering both the Heimlich maneuver and CPR, clearing the girl’s airway. 

Not long after, Schaumburg paramedics arrived and transported her to the hospital.
