"Buzz" Taken Off Honey Nut Cheerios Boxes To Support Bee Population Campaign

In an effort to raise awareness about dwindling of bee populations, General Mills Canada is removing the mascot "Buzz" from boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios.

Bee populations in many parts of the world have been diminishing in alarming numbers, and General Mills Canada is hoping to help turn the potentially devastating situation around. 
In an effort to raise both awareness of the issue, it is removing mascot "Buzz" from boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios. 
The company is also giving away 35 million packets of free wildflower seeds to Canadian residents with the goal of greatly expanding the nation’s number of bee-friendly habitats.
