Ugandan warthogs suffering from antagonistic ticks have found an ally in their battle against the blood-sucking bugs: hungry mongooses. 

At Queen Elizabeth National Park, the warthogs literally lie down and wait for groups of banded mongooses to inspect their hides for the presence of ticks, sometimes even climbing atop the wild pigs' backs. 

The behavior was recently described in an issue of the journal Suiform Soundings.
