Google Earth Reveals Layout Of Secret 'Area 6'

The Las Vegas Review-Journal is reporting that the U.S. government’s secret site known as Area 6 in Nevada can be viewed from overhead on Google Earth; the image shows a long runway flanked by a cluster of buildings.

The layout of a mysterious government site can be seen on Google Earth. 

In the image, the location, known as Area 6, appears to be composed of a long runway with a cluster of buildings at one end. 

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the complex is only about 12 miles away from the more famous Area 51 in Nevada.

It found a brief indication of the site’s purpose in a report by website Flightglobal. 

The document states, “The purpose of this facility is to construct, operate, and test a variety of unmanned aerial vehicles.”
