Authorities in Asheville, North Carolina have been speaking out about fake parking tickets that have been found in the area which display high penalty fees and a QR code to Rick Astley’s video for his song Never Gonna Give You Up.

Officials in Asheville, North Carolina are warning people about an unusual problem the city seems to be having.

According to Transportation Director Ken Putnam, an unknown person has been issuing made-up parking tickets.

Two fake citations were found on March 4--one by a recipient and another by a parking officer.

The city’s logo appears at the top just as like in the original tickets; however, the bogus tickets display a penalty fee of $100--ten times the standard amount.

They also include a QR code which reportedly leads to Rick Astley’s video for his song Never Gonna Give You Up; this prank is commonly known as rickrolling.
