Ending of The Simpsons - The Day the Earth Looked Stupid

I recently watched this episode of the Simpsons (Season 18 Episode 4 - Treehouse of Horror XVII), which aired Nov. 5, 2006. \r
I posted the ending, because of the labored and erie resemblance of a post-invaded Springfield to the war-torn Iraq in 2006 and on. It was a reminder of the reason so much tragedy started and the number of deaths and casualties that resulted from a misguided and irresponsible government. The intentions of the government are debatable, but the tragedy that resulted is something we should never forget and possibly learn from.
