Hound is a natural language virtual assistant built off of the SoundHound’s proprietary platform.
In other words, SoundHound is taking on Apple’s Siri, Google Now, and Microsoft’s Cortana.
Word first spread about Hound last June when it began accepting applications for its private beta.
At the time, SoundHound hoped for 1,000 testers, but in 2 months, had 300,000 applications from all around the world.
Today, not only has the Android version become available to all, but the company has also released an iOS version of the app.
In addition, the company has added two new partners to the mix, integrating Yelp and Uber into its app.
