Public Buses In Maryland Record Passenger Conversations

A bill is expected to be considered this week in the Maryland legislature which would prevent the Maryland Transit Administration, or MTA, from recording audio on its buses and trains; more than half of the MTA’s buses have already been equipped with that capability.

When people take the bus in Maryland, there’s a chance they’re being recorded. 

However, a state senate bill intended to block sound recordings is expected to be considered this week.
