An ancient Egyptian cave’s famous interior artwork likely does not contain the outlines of human hands as previously thought, finds a new study. 

Discovered around 14 years ago, Wadi Sura II was remarkable for its abundance of wall decorations including human and animal figures which have been dated as far back as 8,000 years ago. 

Among the designs are approximately 13 small prints which had been associated with human babies’ hands.
