On Friday evening, three girls in Eastern Idaho were trapped beneath many feet of snow that slid from the roof of a cabin in Island Park. All three kids were found unconscious and airlifted to an area hospital. The youngest, Halle Merrill, did not survive.

Numerous crews arrived on the scene, but digging out the three children, a 2-year-old and two 7-year-olds, still took roughly 30 minutes.
