Non-Slip Loop Knot

When tying flies, you always strive to choose material and to tie in such a way that will impart the most action possible. To add even more movement to a fly, use a nonslip loop knot. The loop gives your fly a little more freedom to swim and wiggle than if you
were to use a knot
that butts directly up against the eye of the hook. Also, the loop created by tying this knot (and any other loop knot you use to connect the fly) will help the fly sink a
little bit faster. The nonslip loop knot is extremely useful for inshore situations, but you want to be careful when using heavy monofilament. You can use this knot with heavier lines, but you want to make sure the knot seats correctly before fishing it.
