Ever wish that group text was a group video chat sesh?
Skype is making it possible.
The Microsoft-owned chat service last month first announced plans to expand group video calling to mobile and it's now rolling out to iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets in North American and Western Europe.
The feature should be available worldwide in March, Skype said.
"Soon, everyone will have the freedom to enjoy totally free group get-togethers anytime, anywhere — and with anyone they want," the Skype team wrote in a blog post.
Skype said that "tens of thousands" of users pre-registered to try out the feature last month, and provided "invaluable feedback that helped us fine-tune the experience."
The feature now supports up to 25 people in a group video call, up from five during the beta.
