Syrians turned back at Turkish border return to Aleppo province

As a Russian-backed regime onslaught in northern Syria continues, thousands have fled towards the Turkish border crossing of Bab al-Salama further north, but the crossing remains closed. On Wednesday, dozens of families who were turned back at the border gate were taken by bus to the town of Daret Ezza, west of Aleppo province, by passing through the town of Afrin controlled by the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG), the main Kurdish force in Syria.
