Man and woman caught having sex on Vegas High Roller face felony charges

LAS VEGAS — A man and woman were caught red-handed having sex on a Las Vegas ferris wheel and are currently facing felony charges.

On Feb. 5, Philip Frank Panzica III, 27, and Chloe Scordianos, 21, were riding the 550-foot tall High Roller at The Linq Hotel and Casino located on the Las Vegas Strip. The pair were seen on security cameras smoking and undressing inside Cabin 16.

The High Roller cabins are round and have floor-to-ceiling glass walls.
According to police reports, security asked the guests over an intercom in their cabin to "put out the cigarettes and to put all their clothes back on." At first, Panzica and Scordianos complied but quickly went back to undressing.

Security then observed adjacent cabins to see if anyone else had noticed. While Cabin 17 was unaware, guests in Cabin 15 were watching the pair and filming the incident on their phones.

Following the 30-minute ride, security obtained footage from guests in Cabin 15. No statements were made. Panzica and Scordianos were both arrested.

According to police reports, the pair said that "they were just having a good time and didn't think anyone would notice."

The report also goes into details of what was captured on security cameras. The pair had not only completely undressed but proceeded to have sex on the ferris wheel. Police watched the video and "clearly saw Scordianos laying on her back in the center of the cabin. Panzica was on his knees over Scordianos and removed her dress. He also removed his clothes while standing up, exposing his penis and bare buttocks, allowing anyone in public to see."

Panzica, as it turns out, had an outstanding warrant out of Laughlin. Following the incident he was arrested for the warrant and the pair for Commission of Certain Sex Acts in Public.

The two were released on $3,000 bail and are set to appear in court in March. Footage of the incident has been impounded and not yet released.

Public sex is a class D felony in Nevada, punishable by between one and four years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine.
