Giant waves hit Nazare, Portugal

Footage has emerged of huge waves crashing into the coast of famous surfing spot, Nazare, Portugal, during a storm.

The filmer wrote online: "Today one of the biggest swells of the winter hit the Portuguese coast, with huge waves and storm conditions.

"The lineup was really scary, but two Australian surfers decided to make a try and ride those monsters of water."
