Shahrukh’s Dilwale was a much touted movie and things came to a crossroads when the comeback movie of SRK and Kajol did not click with the masses. Blame it on the other hit Bajirao Mastani which hit the theatres simultaneously and took away all the attention, blame it on Shahrukh’s stereotyped performances or Rohit Shette’s brash sets , blame it on a lack of proper grip in the storyline, blame it on anything, but Shahrukh is ready to take the blame for everything and returned 50% of loss to the distributors.
We appreciate Shahrukh’s act but this does not solve the problem of lack of entertainment in the film industry hai na? Is this a habit or is it going to become the trend? Either way it is the film going public which bears the losses for it is they who pay exorbitant amounts to watch a movie. Anyway Shahrukh the Dildaar Khan has certainly struck an emotional chord with the distributors for now.
