Murdered teen Nicole Lovell met her killer on encrypted messenger app Kik

BLACKSBURG, VIRGINIA — Nicole Lovell survived a liver transplant when she was just an infant. She was later diagnosed with lymphoma and spend six months in a coma after developing a respiratory infection, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Reports say she was bullied because of her scars and health issues, but refused to allow setbacks to interfere with her life as a teenage girl. Her favorite color was blue, she loved pandas and adored the Minions movies. She was reportedly carrying a blanket with Minions characters on it when she climbed out of her window on the evening of January 27, 2016, to meet a man she had told her friends was her secret boyfriend.
David Eisenhauer, an 18-year-old student at Virginia Tech stands accused of abducting and murdering Nicole Lovell. Police say she was stabbed to death but are not offering any other details. A second Virginia Tech student, 19-year-old Natalie Keepers, was charged as acting as an accessory before and after the child's death, as well as assisting Eisenhauer in disposing Lovell's body. No motive for the killing has been suggested so far.
Family and friends on Thursday said goodbye to this child whose life was taken just as she stood at the threshold of adulthood. Her mother, Tammy Weeks, gave a press conference February 3rd, but was unable to finish her remarks after being overcome with grief.
David Eisenhauer and Natalie Keepers, both engineering majors at Virginia Tech, are being held without bond on charges that could see them sent to prison for life without the possibility of parole.
