TPP trade deal signed, but implementation still a long way off

Twelve countries have now signed the Trans-Pacific Trade Partnership (TTP), agreed on last October, which will eventually see some 18,000 import taxes either reduced or lifted. It may be years before the deal is implemented though, as it must be passed through each country's national parliament. Also, Shell confirms plans to cut 10,000 jobs over the slump in oil prices.
