HBL Pakistan Super League or HBL PSL Pakistan Cricket Board’s Professional Twenty20 Cricket League tournament. After years of delay PCB announced to organize PSL in may 2015. In Sep 2015 formal announcement made. Investors were called to bid to purchase franchise teams of PSL in October 2015. In Dec 2015 drafting of Players and bidding of teams were completed. 5 teams franchises including Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators were auctioned for a collective sum of USD 93 million for a period of 10 years. This is the single largest investment by anybody in Pakistan’s sports sector. HBL PSL Matches will be played in two grounds in UAE. A total of 24 matches will be played in Inaugral session of HBL PSL with most matches to be played in Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
