Four workers were lifted from a collapsed mine in eastern China on Friday after being trapped underground for 36 days. Big holes were drilled into the tunnel to save the trapped workers, and they were brought to the ground in a capsule. The gypsum mine in Shandong province caved in on December 25 while 29 people were working underground. One miner was killed and 11 escaped or were rescued soon after.
