Chile celebrates 400th anniversary of Cape Horn discovery

On the nearly deserted Horn Island, the Chilean army and authorities celebrated the day in 1616 when two Dutch navigators, Jacob Le Maire and Willem Schouten, crossed from the Atlantic to the Pacific by the extreme south of the American continent for the first time.
