The Yes Snowboards 420 was the original board that had a larger surface area without adding extra length. This year, they took the same board and added a powder hull shape that we first saw on the 20/20. The Powder Hull works by allowing more snow to go underneath the nose making it easier to get that lift in powder and eliminating back leg burn. On the tail, the hull has the opposite effect by essentially raising the tail a few cm’s, causing it to sink. This makes the 420 Powder Hull one of the most surf like powder boards on the market that makes those epic powder days so much better.
