Dramatic footage has emerged from China of a series of large explosions happening on the set of a film, injuring several people.

In the video, captured in Ji'an, Jiangxi Province last Friday, several explosions go off in the river, sending water high into the air. The initial explosions are then followed by others on the river bank.

According to local reports, three people were hospitalised, one of whom reportedly required a leg amputation.
