Upon learning a Norfolk, Virginia K-9 had been fatally shot, Anderson Cooper donated the money needed to buy bulletproof vests for the department’s entire K-9 unit.
On January 11th, the Norfolk, Virginia police department announced one of their dogs was fatally wounded in the line of duty.
Some have since noted the animal likely would have survived if he had been wearing a bulletproof vest.
Within days of the story breaking, Anderson Cooper came to the rescue, donating the money needed to buy a protective garment for each and every member of the Norfolk K-9 unit.
