Belichick runs gamut of emotions on Chandler Jones drug questions

Bill Belichick wants you to know how much he cares about Chandler Jones.
Just don’t ask him about it.
The notoriously reticent Patriots head coach addressed the media Thursday and opened by discussing the bizarre episode involving the star defensive end, who stumbled into a Foxboro police station Sunday morning after a reported bad reaction to synthetic weed.
“First of all, relative to Chandler’s situation, there’s nothing more important to me than the health and well-being of our players, staff and support people in the organization,” Belichick said.
“That’s the way it is with this organization and me, personally.
I don’t think that’ll ever change.”
Belichick told reporters he wouldn’t be adding to the curt statement the Patriots had issued Wednesday, acknowledging Jones’ hospital visit and vouching he had showed up for work on time earlier this week.
