A Nostalgia Shop

Archana Rao showcased an uber hep collection through her label 'Frou Frou' at the Talent Box during Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2013. Inspired by vintage and thrift stores from around the globe, the range titled 'A Nostalgia Shop' is what every young and reminiscing fashionista would be head over heels over for.
Trendy, summer colours such as mustard, red, blue were highly saturated yet toned down for a rich yet versatile, wearable appeal and blended in with sombre shades of bronze and beige for a glam touch. The collection in twill, organza, denim and sheer fabrics comprised jackets, dresses, tops and trousers. Simple and tailored, the pieces sported embroidery, fringes, feminine prints, trims, pearl detailing which helped add to the fun and fabulous appeal, while fabric treatments such as distress effects added a spunky touch.
A dazzling sheer blazer with a pop colored collar simply oozed feminine charm. Right out of the '60s to the '80s this collection by Archana Rao is sure to thrill any fashionista who adored her grandmother's wardrobe gems and loved the idea of reinventing!
