Sofia Coppola is a film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. She directed The Virgin Suicides and Lost in Translation, winning an Oscar for the latter.

As the daughter of the famous director Francis Ford Coppola who made The Godfather films, Sofia Coppola is a screenwriter, producer, director and actor. She wrote and directed the 1998 film The Virgin Suicides. Her directorial work for Lost in Translation won an Oscar. In 2010, she became the first American woman to win the Golden Lion, the top prize at the Venice Film Festival.
