Police ejected a Muslim woman wearing a hijab from a Donald Trump rally in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Friday, CNN reported.
56-year-old Rose Hamid arrived at the rally wearing a blue shirt which read "Salam I come in Peace," and a Holocaust-reminiscent yellow star with the word "Muslim" written inside.
She was seated in the stands behind the podium where Trump made his speech.
During his speech, Trump began to imply that Syrian refugees were affiliated with Islamic State militants, said CNN.
At this point in the speech, Hamid stood up in silent protest.
Police proceed to escort Hamid as well as Marty Rosenbluth, who stood with her, out of the event.
In a statement to CNN, Major Steven Thompson of the Rock Hill Police Department said that police removed Hamid from the rally because Trump campaign staff requested prior to the event that "anybody who made any kind of disturbance" should be removed.
