Miniature Horses Are New Type Of Therapy Animal

We have all heard of therapy animals such as dogs or bunnies; but what about horses? This new kind of therapy animal brings magic to whoever it visits. Gentle Carousel Miniature Therapy Horses is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity. The team of tiny horses visits over 45,000 adults and children each year inside hospitals, hospice programs, police stations, fire stations and visit with children who have experienced traumatic events.

From the school children and first responders of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT to the tornado survivors of Moore, OK, child trafficking victims in Washington D.C. and even children living in orphanages in Greece, these tiny horses bring their special love where it is needed most.

Gentle Carousel's award winning literacy program, Reading Is Magic, also brings real horses inside schools, at risk youth programs and libraries to inspire young readers and "bring books to life". These 'tiny' heroes are bringing HUGE love to the world!
