LOS ANGELES — Tonya Couch, the mother of affluent Texas teen Ethan Couch, appeared before a Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday and waived her right to be extradited to Texas where she will face felony charges of hindering apprehension of a felon.

Her son, Ethan Couch, killed four people while drunk driving in 2013 but was deemed spoiled rotten by the courts, so he was let off with 10 years of no drinking and no drugging probation.

Mommy Couch faces up to 10 years in prison for aiding her affluent son's probation violation with an indefinite trip to Mexico. The pair were busted in Mexico after ordering Domino's pizza.

Tonya Couch was flown from Mexico to Los Angeles last week while Ethan remains in Mexico, fighting extradition to the U.S. Texas has two weeks to pick up the mother from the Metropolitan Detention Center in LA.
