Abraham Lincoln’s hand is missing from a museum in Illinois.



Abraham Lincoln is among the most celebrated U.S. presidents, and that is especially true in his home state of Illinois.
One of the many institutions there that honors the national leader is having a bit of an issue.
Abraham Lincoln’s hand is missing.
The appendage, which is made of plaster, was removed from a gallery at the Kankakee County Museum around December 11th.
Initially, staff thought somebody was playing a prank, but when the hand wasn’t returned after a couple of days, a search began.
