Indiana pastor's wife murderer charged with raping another one, killing one man

INDIANAPOLIS — The man who murdered Amanda Blackburn, a pregnant mother and the wife of a pastor, on Nov. 10 in Indianapolis, now stands accused of having done so as part of an eight-day crime spree, the Indianapolis Star reported.

Larry Taylor, 18, is facing new charges of murder, rape, theft and robbery in connection with the death of Rolando Gonzalez-Hernandez on Nov. 3 and the rape of an unidentified woman on Nov. 4. Prosecutors filed the new charges on Monday.

The charges allege that on Nov. 3, Taylor, together with his accomplice, Jalen Watson, 21, entered a woman's Westlake apartment at around 9 p.m. while she was alone, taking a shower.

Watson pointed a gun at the woman, ordered her out of the shower and instructed her to lay face down on the bedroom floor while they robbed the apartment. Taylor, however, raped her.

A day later Taylor robbed Rolando Gonzalez-Hernandez, 26, in an Indianapolis apartment complex parking lot. After taking $10 from the man's wallet, he shot him.

The man was later found with a bullet in his head lying on the ground next to his car.

Six days later, on Nov. 10, Taylor, Watson and another accomplice, Diano Gordon, entered Amanda Blackburn, 28, and her husband's house for robbery.

While Watson and Gordon left the house to withdraw money with the woman's credit card, Taylor shot and killed Blackburn, who was pregnant, a mother and the wife of a pastor.

Fox News reports that her husband, Davey, found her still bleeding and partially nude on the floor after returning from the gym. Authorities did not find any evidence of rape.

Referring to Taylor, Marion County prosecutor Terry Curry told reporters: "If we prove the allegations, this individual committed three very, very serious crimes in eight days, and we'll seek to hold him accountable," the Indianapolis Star reported.

Taylor and Watson are being held in Marion County Jail and are scheduled to appear in Marion Superior Court for a pretrial hearing on Jan. 5.
