Shandur Polo Festival is celebrated every year at the beginning of July. The traditional tournament is held in Chitral, Pakistan, on Shandur Top, the highest polo ground in the world at 3,700 meters
Shandur polo festival – world’s highest polo ground. 3 day Shandur polo festival got underway at the world’s highest polo ground sited about 12,200 feet above the sea level.
A large number of tourists including foreigners attended the inaugural ceremony. In the opening match of the festival, Ghizer district team from Gilgit-Baltistan defeated Laspur by 9-1 in a one-sided match. (Report by - Ary News)
