U.S. Plans Deportation Raids Targeting Hundreds of Families
  • 8 years ago
The Department of Homeland Security is finalizing plans for a series of raids to deport hundreds of families who have immigrated from Central America since 2014, according to a report.
The Washington Post, citing unnamed sources familiar with the plan, reports that the large-scale deportation effort could begin as early as January.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement would carry out the raids, and target families who have already been ordered to leave the U.S by immigration judges.
The Post reports that more than 100,000 families have entered the U.S. from its border with Mexico since 2014.
