LAS VEGAS — Twenty-four-year-old Lakeisha N. Holloway from Oregon has been identified as the driver responsible for running over dozens of pedestrians on the famous Las Vegas Strip on Sunday night.

Holloway reportedly was homeless and had been sleeping in her 1996 Oldsmobile car with her 3-year-old daughter in Las Vegas for about a week. She was headed to Dallas to find her daughter's father.

According to the Associated Press, Holloway said she was stressed out on Sunday after getting run off by securities while trying to get some rest with her daughter inside her car. Then, she somehow ended up plowing into people on the Strip, which in her own words, is a "a place she did not want to be".

Holloway appeared to be calm after the crash. She parked her car at a casino nearby and told the valet to call 911. A drug recognition expert said Holloway was under the influence of some sort of stimulant at the time of the crash, her blood results are pending.

Holloway has been held without bail and will be charged with murder with a deadly weapon. Her daughter has been taken into protective custody.
